With its fast maximum aperture and focusing system, the compact, high performance EF 50mm f/1.4 USM standard lens delivers superb performance in any field of photography, from landscapes and travel scenes to portraits and reportage. It’s compact and lightweight design make it an affordable choice for travel and general-use, the Ultra Sonic Motor (USM) motor drives autofocus extremely quickly and quietly, with excellent holding torque ensuring the point of focus is reached accurately. A circular 8-bladed aperture diaphragm gives out-of-focus regions a softer look, letting sharp foreground objects stand out against elegant bokeh.
