Built to offer phenomonal speed
The secret of the EOS R3’s speed and responsiveness lies in its revolutionary 24 megapixel back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor, which transfers data to the camera’s DIGIC X processor so quickly that rolling shutter distortion is virtually eliminated.
Master low light
The EOS R3 is the king of low light. An In-Body Image Stabilizer (IBIS) combined with Optical IS guards against camera shake when shooting hand-held with long shutter speeds – with up to 8-stops¹ of protection when using specific RF lenses. A max ISO 102,400 sensitivity (expands to ISO 204,800) gives great image quality.
Effortlessly switch the 6K video
Capture video at resolutions up to 6K 60p, and at frame rates up to 120p when shooting 4K, with focus tracking and image stabilisation. Recording time now extends up to six hours.

A variety of video formats ensures footage will always fit in to an editing workflow, and Canon Log 3 makes colour grading easy.
Preview images in stunning detail
Our best electronic viewfinder yet. With a 5,760,000-dot resolution and 120 fps refresh rate, you’d be forgiven for thinking the EOS R3 had an optical finder. It previews images perfectly and is fully customizable.
Vari-angle touchscreen puts you in control
A fully articulated 4,200,000-dot 3.2-inch Vari-Angle touchscreen lets you shoot and control the camera from difficult angles and unique perspectives. It’s clear and easy to use, even in bright light.
